Haven Psychological (727)282-4673

Neuroaffirming support grounded in safety and belonging.
The Haven Approach
The way in which I practice has been shaped by both my professional background in clinical psychology and my lived experience — personally and in parenting a neurodivergent child with complex social, medical, environmental, and sensory needs.
While I rely heavily on research to provide meaningful guidance, I also understand that every nervous system, every family dynamic, and every story is unique. My work honors that individuality with compassion, curiosity, and deep respect.
With intention, I offer a sense of Haven — a safe, steady, compassionate space to exhale, untangle what you’ve been carrying, and feel supported as you navigate a path forward.
HOW MY WORK EVOLVED
The foundation of my work is in child and adolescent clinical psychology. I have spent over two decades evaluating and supporting children with ADHD, autism, anxiety, OCD, sensory differences, and complex neurobehavioral presentations.
Even with extensive clinical training and experience however, I came to understand how different complexity feels when it becomes personal — when it is your own child, your own decisions, your own uncertainty.
Professional experience provided me with a framework framework. Lived experience provided me with me the perspective.

Whether I am working directly with an individual or helping parents understand their child’s nervous system and developmental profile, my goal is the same: to reduce misunderstanding and increase safety.
COLLABORATION AND RESPECT
My approach is collaborative and respectful of both professional expertise and lived experience. I bring training, clinical perspective, and evidence-based understanding.
You bring intimate knowledge of yourself, your child, and your family. You are the authority on your lived experience. When it comes to your child, you know their rhythms, sensitivities, and patterns in a way no one else can.
My role is to offer structure, perspective, and guidance — not to override what you already understand.
Meaningful support happens when clinical expertise and lived wisdom work together. You don’t have to prove that it’s hard in order for it to matter here
